An entry here last week for Skylark -- the Hoagie Carmichael-Johnny Mercer standard -- should surely have linked to kd lang's version of the song.
Hers is under the end credit roll for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the 1987 flick with Kevin Spacey and John Cusack.
I wonder if Lang knows how hard music guru Richard Flohil fought to kickstart her career, back when eccentricity often trumped talent.
It was a killer media lift. They won.
