Gherkin girls an internet hoax?

 

"The Pickle Sisters were a 1920s girl singing group. Margaret, Mavis, Opal and Florence changed their names to Dilly, Kosher, Gherkin and Bee Bee. I'm Green for Your Form was #6 on the hit parade in the 1920s ... "  (recurring internet meme)

There have been several Pickle Sisters groups, but is this one suspect? The Pickle Sisters and their "hit" song don't appear in Joel Whitburn's authoritative Pop Songs 1890-1954.

And a Google search turns up only the YouTube link below. The nine minute clip doesn't appear to include Pickle people.
