Attic Records was a Canadian independent record label, founded in 1974 by Alexander Mair and Tom Williams. The label was known for developing Canadian talent, including Anvil, Lee Aaron, Maestro Fresh Wes, The Nylons, Teenage Head, and Triumph. The company also distributed international acts not affiliated with a major label, most successfully with Jennifer Warnes, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Katrina and the Waves, and Creed.

"Oh, that poor guy that slit Tom Williams throat has gotta feel bad about the whole murder thing. RIP, Tom. Give my love to the late honoured Alexander Mair when you see him. And the Nylons. And the rest of us who thrived on Attic Records' mission. God--please don't be kind to his murderer."
