"HEY GOOGLE!"
The yell comes from the car showroom, 50 feet from where I'm sitting at the dealership, waiting out my winter tire swap.
"Hey Google!" the guy's voice shouts again.
A woman in the chair across from me grins back.
"HEY GOOGLE!" yells the dude's voice, louder now. "Turn volume to 60 per cent!"
I hear the dealership's music system playing in the showroom and an aggressive bit of pop music is taking its toll.
"HEY GOOGLE!"
His voice is desperate now.
"Turn volume to 40 per cent!"
Nothing happens.
"Hey Google!"
He sounds angry.
The music continues for perhaps 20 seconds, then, blip! It's off.
Somebody has disabled the feed.
Blessed silence.
Off.
It's the new high tech.
