ANYTHING FOR A LAUGH

 

 

"Make a face," urges the photo guy.

Overlooked in the Sun's early success is Pellow, Ambrose & Carr--the fledgling ad agency that won the paper's account.

They were the smallest agency to pitch.

They created the Sun's crazier campaigns.

And yes, PA&C were responsible for "The Little Paper That Grew" line that lasted decades.

I have examples of their work.

They were sharp, silly and nuts.

I had no idea what they'd do.

I hid in the back of streetcars for years.
