As Spotify, Stitcher, itunes, TuneIn all increasingly demand you download their gateway app for access, podbay doesn't.
The fact that podbay's first splash page offers a more attractive and searchable offering of podcasts than rivals is icing on the cake.
You can search by podcast, host, genre, trending, top 50. If you know any detail about a pod, odds are good it's find-able.
Why would you download a gateway app you only need right now?
How much memory are you willing to tie up on phones, tablets, laptops, multiple devices?
Do you just want to hear or sample a podcast?
Keep it or chuck it?
