So I see Axios, the political news site, has registered a two-word phrase, smart brevity.
It's supposed to convey concise brainwork.
This seems neither.
The idea "smart brevity" will suffer misappropriation is laughable. Did anybody ever try to steal The Pause That Refreshes?
Axios intends to sell "smart brevity" techniques to any dimwit who can't write short.
A certain paper manufacturer used to churn out form letters, whenever "Kleenex" appeared in print. It's "Kleenex brand paper tissues" they'd thunder.
They hated that "Kleenex" was so successful, it covered every snot towel.
Whatever.
