Okay, so it's often Ottawa-centric.
But the fledgling Newshounds podcast is already more fun to follow for news junkies than the CBC's clunky At Issue.
Eight episodes old, the Friday breakfast conversation is between webspotter Pierre Bourque, Sun vets Mike Therien and Rick Gibbons, the last also a radio guy.
It's a well-produced take on the maze of headlines on CBC.com, The Star and CP24.
Today, they hit Canada's never-ending defense mess, Covid contradictions and Dr. Seuss.
I don't get why Dr Seuss is an issue to anybody save Fox TV hysterics and panel show puppets.
A publisher of kids books decides to let a few poor-selling and culturally stale-dated titles go out of print.
Nobody demanded this.
It's the kind of self-editing judgment displayed daily by anybody who writes or word-wrangles for a living.
And they do it not to avoid being cancelled, but because they are not stupid.
