Navigating Kam Lake Rd S without those trees is a challenge enough! Glad to know that everyone is ok though! Greetings from a former Wilno girl now in Calgary.

I was just in Comberemere over the weekend. It is a miracle no one was hurt after seeing the damage and hearing people's accounts of the storm. I can't imagine how long it will take to clean up but I must say that I am in awe of how many people are working to clean up and get things back to normal. Comberemere will never look the same but the heart of the town will never change!

My husband and I spent the past week on Baptiste Lake just 30 mins south of Combermere.

We were told to take a drive up to view the devastation. It is heartbreaking. Unbelievable - surreal.

Mother Nature's fury sure had her way with the lovely small town of Combermere BUT it seems as though that community has pulled together and will get past this.

I feel for the folks and seasonal visitors to Combermere but I am confident that they will overcome this tragic event.
