Can Prime or Netflix save Wile E. Coyote?
Wile E. Coyote vs. Acme--the third ready-to-show flick killed by Warner Brothers to save money--is being shown to streamers.
The flick cost $70 million; rather than spend any more, WB shelved it for a $30 million tax write- off. Prime pays up to $100 mill for a title.
Best line I've seen: "If you can't figure out how to make money on a movie with John Cena and Wile E. Coyote, you probably shouldn't be the head of a studio."
Coyote's movie court case is against Acme, the prop supplier he uses that can't seem to make anything that works except dynamite.
