Birds in North America will no longer be named after people, the American Ornithological Society decrees.

The organization will rename around 80 species found in the U.S. and Canada.
“Some English bird names have associations with the past that continue to be exclusionary and harmful today,” the group said.

Do they mean The Trump-eter Swan?

Wake up, birds. Be woke.

BREAKING GOOD: JOHN CLEESE The Dinosaur Hour

If comedian John Cleese hosted a current affairs hour, it would certainly be done in a castle, with a clubby cocktail room of cats, a table of nuns, a little band, and a sly attitude not seen since This Hour Has Seven Days.

Welcome to The Dinosaur Hour.

A promo and the premiere show are above.

Just three weeks old, Cleese's Dinosaur Hour is the prime Sunday night attraction of GBN, Britain's fledgling 24/7 news channel.

It may be the most clever use of TV since John Oliver and John Stewart proved entertainment could make news fun.

The normally-snide London papers are already in love with it: "A thoughtful, wonderfully wacky hour of TV."

Since GBN streams on YouTube, this new Cleese classic can be seen by the world. (Search title or  "GBNews") It joins Monty Python and Fawlty Towers in his resumé.

The first three weekly shows are up, and you'd be a fool not to sample them. Show #1 explores Britain's notorious press, Show #3 considers why "woke" is still a thing.

Watch the tease and opening above. Didn't Canada's CBC-killed Seven Dayshit occupy a similar Sunday night time slot? Dinosaur Hour has the same multiple item pace.

By show #3, the cats are on the table, drinking John's water, there is a running gag with the maitre d' and Stephen Fry arrives to discuss moneygrubbers--companies that value greed over innovation.

Did I mention the suit of armor? The giant tortoise? The helmet dude tossed off the castle roof in the second episode's open?

Mr. Cleese is 83. Hurry.

Can Prime or Netflix save Wile E. Coyote?

Wile E. Coyote vs. Acme--the third ready-to-show flick killed by Warner Brothers to save money--is being shown to streamers.

The flick cost $70 million; rather than spend any more, WB shelved it for a $30 million tax write- off. Prime pays up to $100 mill for a title.

Best line I've seen: "If you can't figure out how to make money on a movie with John Cena and Wile E. Coyote, you probably shouldn't be the head of a studio."

Coyote's movie court case is against Acme, the prop supplier he uses that can't seem to make anything that works except dynamite.
