The Three Stooges and their oddly stooge-like kids. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk?  Sointenly.

Curley, Larry and Moe made 190 shorts, each about 15 minutes in length.

You'll find the trio making pancakes, here.

Curtain call

   Algonquin Park

Algonquin Park in three minutes

_

Outdoor Adventurer drove from Algonquin's East gate (Huntsville) to West gate (Whitney) a day ago. His continuous run along highway 60  unspools above in three minutes.

Rain and wind this weekend have dampened what's left of the fall colors.

But with moose rutting, there might be a free sex show.

Word wizard

"A writer is a guy in the hospital wearing one of those gowns that’s open in the back.

An editor is walking behind, making sure that nobody can see his ass. "

--John Bennett, editor at the New Yorker

There are about 40 Bennett aphorisms in a piece on the great New Yorker editor in the Columbia Journalism Review.

If you work with words, it will make you smile.

  • "Put the best shit at the end, the second-best shit at the beginning, and all the other shit in between.
  • "An editor is like a shrink. If the writer doesn’t think his editor is great, he’s totally fucked up. "

More?  Here ...

The hum of the highway

Hungary has a highway that plays music if you drive at the right speed.

It takes your mind off human rights.
