Pandas on Ice

Pandas playing ice hockey?

China's Olympic mascot has inspired this odd series of contemporary
Chinese ink paintings, a riff on ancient art.

Olympic Panda Bing Dwen Dwen,
and his bear pals are re-imagined
as rock 'em sock 'em stars
by artist Zhang Dahua.

But not one panel of the pandas
"giving their balls a tug?"

Facebook/Meta loses $250 billion of its market value in a week.

They blame TikTok, their social rival.

I'd tag Reels, Facebook's TikTok wannabee, their endless feed of lame and obviously staged stunts which now compete with a daily diet of sketchy advertisers as Why Am I Here triggers.

Facebook is the new My Space.

And WTF is that?

It works for Putin....

Would Trigger have stuffed Roy?

But what of Gene Autry's horse?
Lash Larue's?

New Letterman channel on YouTube

_

David Letterman's new YouTube channel went live this morning with a few dozen classic clips from his Late Shows.

The most-viewed video on Day One is elevator races, above.

New clips are going up thru the day, and the homepage guide is here.

It's nicely done.

"These highlights have been artisanly-produced, carefully-curated, and chosen completely at random by an old computer that used to pick numbers for the New York Lotto back in the 90’s," Dave claims.

Letterman visits Seth Meyers tonight, to pitch the channel and celebrate 40 years of Late Shows.
