Shaker Song was written by Jay Beckenstein, the sax player heard above and founding member of Spyro Gyra.
First heard in 1977, the band's breeziest tune was eclipsed by Morning Dance, their hit. The Buffalo-born jazz fusion group toured for 40 years, and sold 10 million albums.
