Dancing on Wild Rivers ...

_

How many month-long canoe adventures begin with a quote from Nietzsche?

There's a new Northern Scavengers epic, documenting an intimidating cross-Labrador slog to the Aguanish, then down Quebec's wild river. It was shot last July.

New episodes of the series go up Wednesdays, and the result is spectacular. The slog, the images, the sound, the bugs, the budship should be impossible to record.

But the Scavengers eclipse most YouTube rivals in grit, grins and new mornings.

Always, the mists lift.

If you have been sitting on your ass all winter, Noah, Matt, Alex and Eric are exactly the guides to a better summer. They've been separated by covid, pals with a shared passion.

There's a float plane reunion in episode six that will lift your heart.

If you want to start the trip from the get-go, Episode One is below...

" And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."

                     --Friedrich Nietzsche
